This is an interesting story about how Google promotes Google+ via a “Thank Them” link that appears below websites on SERPs.

There is a strange search result snippet, when the writer noticed that Google actually displayed a Google+ profil. A link of a commenter, in raw HTML form, in the search description snippet. As the profile link didn’t contain any of the search keyword’s text, the writer wondered why Google showed it at all.

Maybe there is some relation on Google+ to the two links, between the one that the writer was searching and profile link of the commenter. Or maybe Google was just “mixing it up”.

Regardless of why the link appeared, it was at that moment that the writer realized that there was a “Thank Them” link.

Clicking the “Thank Them” link turns out to be very quick, easy, and effective way to not only spark conversation in your own Google circles, but also to promote the publisher of content you enjoy. Try it out.

Being the author of many articles online or blog posts is a crucial thing if you want to be seen in a favorable light by Google. It is known that Google wants test out a new strategy around all personal profiles, making them more important in the SEO process. Google will soon check all personal blocking data from its users in order to see which one has a trusted profile. Of course, some people will try to trick Google with this one, which is a very smart decision. By having a photo next to their articles will mean they are the real authors of those articles, therefore they will rank higher in Google’s system. Having a strong Google Profile online will soon become a critical step for a good SEO process, as Google has started a strong campaign since its Panda Algorithm Update, in order to clear the Internet of spam links or article spinning. In order to have a good reputation online, you need to have your own Google Profile linked with all the sites or blogs you usually write articles. This will be done using Google Plus features. Advantages Of a Strong Google Profile Of course, there are some major advantages for those who will subdue to all Google’s regulations: – A more relevant content: everything you write will be linked together, therefore Google will know that you have a good and relevant content for your niche. – An increased trust: if your articles are shared by many users on different social networks, Google will then credit you with more trust, providing a better PR for all your blogs and sites. – Get ahead of your competition: by building a strong Google Profile will sooner or later help you exceed your niche competitors, bringing more profit to your business or more visitors on your blog (if you need help with this task feel free to contact some of text link brokers).

It’s 1984 all over again. From the moment you step online your privacy is something that starts to slip away. Many people poo poo the idea of identity theft thinking, “Nobody would be interested in being me” but that’s a false hope. Even if you don’t fill out forms or join Facebook the moment you log onto a website it starts gathering information about you. Which browser you’re using, what operating system or your Internet Protocol address which is a number assigned to every computer which connects to the internet.

Make sure that your frontline defenses are up-to-date. Virus and spyware are the biggest thrust to you. Don’t download any software that you’re not sure about. And if you do install something, make sure to check all of the install process before you hit the “next” button. Many of today’s installer will install extra software or change your settings. Heck, you can be infected simply by visiting a website without downloading anything at all.

Make sure that all of your anti-Virus and anti-spyware is up to date. If you don’t have any there are a number of very good free ones online and you should be looking for one that offers “real-time” protection.

If you’re just signing up for a newsletter you might think about setting up a dedicated email address. Say you’re signing up with widgets.com, use an email address like allenwidgets@ setting up a free throw-a-way email account with gmail or yahoo. This way you can track by the email address which website the email came from.

Check your browser settings. If a website if asking you’re a lot of very personal information especially of a financial nature, check the address bar at the top of your screen. Is it using http or https? Https, (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol with the SSL/TLS protocol to provide encrypted communication and secure identification of a network web server and should always be used for any sensitive transaction such as money transfers. If you don’t see https, think again before hitting the send key.

Privacy is often ones most valued possession and in this day and age keeping anything private is a challenge. You can easily protect your privacy by using what is called a ‘proxy’ server. These software’s and programs allow you to defend against network surveillance that threatens your personal freedom, private business activities and relationships and also allows you anonymize your network. A proxy works by routing all of your traffic through a different server when it leaves your browser and before it comes back to you. This way if someone is trying to track your internet history and usage they will be led to a random IP address. There are many varieties of software’s and websites that allow you to use proxy servers, doing a simple web search of ‘proxy’ brings up almost limitless options. When choosing the correct proxy to use be sure to remember that you need to be able to trust the site or program your sending your private information to. Look for websites that have good reviews and no negative reports of information sharing. Know what level of privacy your looking to achieve, browser proxies only block what web pages your viewing, not downloads that are coming to and from your computer. For more complete privacy protection with file sharing you will want to use a proxy software. Combining these two types of proxies will allow you to completely remain anonymous when using the web and your computer.
